My take on life

"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."
- Dalai Lama

Can't sleep...

Ok, I'm back....got my daughter's blog started too. She loves baking so she was excited to start a blog all about her foodie fun. ;) I really need to get back into shape so I was looking to find Zumba classes near me. I found a great location, just don't know if we have the extra funds for it. I'm taking my kiddos out of state to visit grandma this summer and I read that gas prices are going up, again!!!! I really hope the economy gets better soon. I would love to have the option to sale my condo, even if we don't want to move now, it would be nice to know we could. :) I know we have it better then others do, and I know we have it better then others have, but it's not easy for us. We don't have family that helps us with bills or helped to get us into our condo, we do it all on our own. There is no one we can fall back on if things don't work out the way we had planned....it is rewarding to know we have done it all on our own, but it can be a little depressing to me at times. I get that " why can't we have blah blah blah" and my husband is very good at reminding about all we do have. :) My kiddos are my everything and as long as they are healthy and happy, I am blessed. I should try to sleep now...we are planning another hike tomorrow. Let's see where the journey leads us....

January 14, 2012

I had a really late start time today, didn't wake up until 10:15,yikes! I guess I was a bit more tired then I realized. Hubby and middle son took a nap after I woke up. Much needed for both of them, then we started our day. My husband and I both don't like big crowds and we love the outdoors. We usually end up on a hike and lunch/ dinner out on the weekend. My three kiddos grumble about it at first, but once we get movin, the kids usually have a blast. Today's adventure took us out to Palmdale and a hike at Vasquez Rocka. It's a beautiful place, although today was very crowded. I think because it's MLK weekend so there were lots of families out and about. We hiked for about two hours and then headed out to pick up dinner. Hubby had a gift card to CPK so we splurged a bit. Came home and decided to see if I could figure out this blog thing. It was on my mind all night last night. I am going to try and see if I can blog everyday. I'm not much of a writer, but I need to find a way to get out all of my thoughts. Sometimes, I may go on and on about nothing, but then again, I don't think anyone else will be reading this. I had thought about posting this to my Facebook account, but decided against it. I don't think anyone else will care about my humdrum days, lol. My life may seem boring to some, but I love my life, simple and sweet. :) well until next time...this is life as I
